Soccer Recap: Sacred Heart Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Sacred Heart was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the St. Patrick Fighting Irish. If Sacred Heart were looking for revenge after losing 5-0 to St. Patrick when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sacred Heart has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for St. Patrick, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4-1.

Sacred Heart didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-1 win against Hattiesburg HomeSchool on the 8th. As for St. Patrick, they will welcome Presbyterian Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Patrick's defense better be ready for this one: Presbyterian Christian have averaged an impressive 3.6 goals per game this season.
