Soccer Game Preview: Weber vs. Roy

The Weber Warriors will face off against the Roy Royals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Thursday, Weber needed a bit of extra time to put away Ben Lomond. Their defense stepped up to hand the Scots a 1-0 shutout. Weber wouldn't have won without Masen Keyes, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Roy's offense. They fell just short of Taylorsville by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that Roy have lost by just one goal.

Roy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Weber, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Weber came out on top in a nail-biter against Roy when the teams last played back in March of 2025, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Royals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
