If Pe Ell was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Firm Foundation Christian on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell just short of the Wahkiakum Mules by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Pe Ell wouldn't go down easily and took Wahkiakum into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-20, 25-20, 19-25, 15-13.

Peyton Zock paced Pe Ell's offense, picking up nine kills. Zock got some help from Karli Phelps and her 20 assists. Finally, Maisy King kept Pe Ell's defense grounded, leading the team with 14 blocks.

Pe Ell's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Wahkiakum, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.
