Soccer Game Preview: La Salle vs. Archbishop McNicholas

The La Salle Lancers will face off against the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, La Salle put up the most goals they have all season on Saturday. They never let Ross get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Joe Harmon had the honor of scoring the game-winner for La Salle.

Meanwhile, Archbishop McNicholas came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with an 8-0 victory. Considering Archbishop McNicholas have won seven matchups by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Archbishop McNicholas now has a winning record of 9-8-2. As for La Salle, their win bumped their record up to 3-12-3.

La Salle beat Archbishop McNicholas by a goal in their previous meeting back in September, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
