Volleyball Recap: Legacy Charter Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Legacy Charter was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Orlando Science on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Ocoee Knights on Monday. The Eagles have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-17.

Lindsay Donahey paced Legacy Charter's offense, picking up seven kills. Donahey were helped by Lily Ozanic and Chloe Shoemaker, who contributed six assists each. Annelise Chiarella controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Ocoee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maya Henderson led the charge by getting 16 kills and four digs. Those 16 kills gave Henderson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Barnes, who had 24 assists and five digs.

Legacy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Ocoee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Legacy Charter will face off against Altamonte Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ocoee, they will square off against East River at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
