Softball Recap: Ouachita Parish Takes a Loss

Ouachita Parish lost against West Monroe back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions came up short against the Rebels, falling 14-4. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly ten runs.

Journee Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Madisyn Lenard was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Ouachita Parish has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season. As for West Monroe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ouachita Parish will take on Natchitoches Central at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chiefs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Monroe, they will face off against Alexandria at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
