Meanwhile, Southern posted their closest victory since April 1st on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Symmes Valley 8-6.

Southern's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Belpre, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
