Recap: Central Rockets vs. Miami Springs Golden Hawks
The Central Rockets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Miami Springs 78-32 at home. Winning may never get old, but Central sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Central found their leader in underclassman Willie Dye III, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dye III has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dwight Carter, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Central's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points per game. As for Miami Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will challenge Coral Reef at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Miami Springs, they will head out on the road to challenge Hialeah-Miami Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Hialeah-Miami Lakes is ranked 747th, while Miami Springs is ranked 745th).
