Basketball Recap: Kempsville Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kempsville can now relate to. They took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indian River Braves on Tuesday. The Chiefs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Kempsville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Indian River, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Kempsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indian River, they will take on First Colonial on Thursday. Indian River knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully First Colonial likes a good challenge.
