Football Recap: Scott Wins Going Away Against Grant County

Scott won the last time they faced Grant County and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 48-22 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 25-point advantage.

Scott had a senior duo take command as Trey Cook threw for 437 yards and six TDs while completing 80% of his passes and Aaron Hampton picked up 195 receiving yards and three scores. Hampton is crushing it when it comes to receiving yards: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. Lucas Tomlin helped Cook out on the ground, rushing for 36 yards and one touchdown, while also catching one score.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Scott's defense and their five sacks. Justin Hardy was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Scott now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Grant County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Scott will be playing at home against Bourbon County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grant County, they will head out on the road to challenge Pendleton County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
