Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Aledo walked away with it. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Paschal Panthers a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Bearcats sure are getting used to it with their 20th in a row.

Lucas Nawrocki was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Aledo's victory bumped their record up to 35-4. As for Paschal, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 29-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Aledo beat the Panthers by a score of 5-3 on Friday.
