Softball Recap: Archbishop Murphy Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Archbishop Murphy's offense. They fell just short of the Meadowdale Mavericks by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 back in April.

Archbishop Murphy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carly Madhavan, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Archbishop Murphy has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Meadowdale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

As of now, neither Archbishop Murphy nor the Mavericks have any future games scheduled.
