Baseball Recap: Anson Comes Up Short

Anson and Ballinger squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Anson had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 6-5. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bearcats earlier this season, when they won 10-5.

Anson has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Ballinger, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7-1 record this season.

While Anson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
