Temple Christian won the last time they faced Timberlake Christian, and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Temple Christian Crusaders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Temple Christian.
Silas Walker was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Walker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Walker was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Jace Reno was excellent, going 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Garrett Allen, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
On Timberlake Christian's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Crump, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jin Kang, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and two RBI.
