Soccer Recap: Alvirne Takes a Loss

Alvirne lost against Pinkerton back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Broncos lost 6-0 to the Astros. While losing is never fun, Alvirne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire soccer rankings (they are ranked 69th, while Pinkerton are ranked fifth).

Alvirne's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10-2. As for Pinkerton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alvirne will welcome Manchester Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alvirne will be up against Manchester Memorial's rather soft defense (which has allowed 8.38 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pinkerton, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Portsmouth at 4:00 p.m. This will be Pinkerton's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
