Softball Recap: Elcho Takes a Loss

Elcho couldn't beat Florence on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Hornets lost 20-10 to the Bobcats. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Izzy Multhauf made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Visser, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

Elcho suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 5-4. As for Florence, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Elcho is set to square off against their familiar foe Pembine/Goodman at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Florence will challenge rival Wabeno/Laona at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
