Baseball Game Preview: Mitchell Marauders vs. Hinkley Thunder

The Mitchell Marauders will take on the Hinkley Thunder at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Mitchell is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Mitchell fell victim to The Classical Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 30-0.

Custer County hit Hinkley with a six-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Thunder lost 15-3 to the Bobcats.

Hinkley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Mitchell, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Everything went Mitchell's way against Hinkley in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Mitchell made off with a 24-1 victory. Will the Marauders repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
