Soccer Game Preview: Holmes vs. Monterey

The Holmes Huskies will take on the Monterey Plainsmen at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Holmes' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Holmes is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Medina Valley on Friday. Holmes and Medina Valley finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw.

Holmes' goal came courtesy of Lanna Mendez, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Monterey kept a clean sheet against Roma on Friday. They blew past the Gladiators 5-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Plainsmen.

Monterey's win bumped their record up to 2-0. With that draw, Holmes' record moves to 1-2-1.
