Newton County hadn't done well against Scott Central recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cougars came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 21-13. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 16-7 win the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2022.

Byron Pruitt was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 65 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also threw for 121 yards and one touchdown while completing 80% of his passes.
