Volleyball Recap: South Central Satellites vs. Culver Community Cavaliers

South Central and Culver Community squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but South Central had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Culver Community Cavaliers. The Satellites were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August.

While South Central was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-14.

Culver Community was led to victory by Ashlynn Berndt and Gracie Milam. Berndt had 15 digs and two aces, while Milam had ten digs. Berndt is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

South Central is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-13. As for Culver Community, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 26-5.

South Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Culver Community has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Triton on the 19th.
