Tuslaw hasn't had much luck against Triway recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Titans at 5:00 p.m. Tuslaw is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Tuslaw made easy work of Northwest and carried off an 8-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won five in a row.
Isabel McCune made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Hailey Carano was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Kaydence Chapman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Tuslaw kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northwest only managed five hits.
Meanwhile, Triway was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwest on Wednesday, taking the game 11-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.
Kenzie Gatti was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Myah Lester, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.
Tuslaw's record now sits at 12-6. As for Triway, their record is now 12-5.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tuslaw hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .422. However, it's not like Triway struggles in that department as they've averaged .414. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tuslaw came up short against Triway in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 3-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
