Staley extended their postseason success on Saturday against Lee's Summit. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Jake Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Staley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Irlbeck, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another was Andrew Maultsby, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Staley's victory bumped their record up to 35-3. As for Lee's Summit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 30-12.

As of now, neither Staley nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
