Recap: Amistad Wolves vs. Woodstock Academy Centaurs
The Amistad Wolves lost against the Woodstock Academy Centaurs back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Amistad took a serious blow against Woodstock Academy, falling 63-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Amistad has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Amistad still got an impressive performance from LaShaya Patterson , who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four blocks. Patterson scored a full 29.6% of Amistad's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Isabella Barral was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Amistad bumped their record down to 3-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Woodstock Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amistad will take on East Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodstock Academy, they will be playing at home against East Lyme at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Lyme comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
