Recap: Kaycee Buckaroos vs. Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers
This season hasn't been kind to the Kaycee Buckaroos, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 71-28 loss at the hands of Lingle-Fort Laramie. Kaycee lost against Lingle-Fort Laramie in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 64-24 score last time.
Lingle-Fort Laramie's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Skyla Wunder, who scored 22 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wunder has scored at least 25% of Lingle-Fort Laramie's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Speckner, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and six steals.
Kaycee's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lingle-Fort Laramie, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Kaycee's road trip will continue as they head out to face Southeast at 1:30 p.m. on December 15th. Southeast's defense has only allowed 24.4 points per game this season, so Kaycee's offense will have their work cut out for Kaycee. Lingle-Fort Laramie will be home for the holidays to greet Hulett at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
