Basketball Recap: Jared White Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Temple Baptist Academy

South Haven Christian won the last time they faced Temple Baptist Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. Everything went South Haven Christian's way against the Temple Baptist Academy Royal Crusaders as South Haven Christian made off with a 65-40 win.

South Haven Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jared White led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was White's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Trevor Steinbrook was another key player, going 8 for 20 on his way to 21 points and six boards.

South Haven Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Temple Baptist Academy only racked up six assists.

Despite the defeat, Temple Baptist Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Mueller went 7 of 13 en route to 17 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 42.5% of Temple Baptist Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Silvian Tomescu, who scored six points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

South Haven Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Temple Baptist Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-5.

South Haven Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-52 loss against Christian Community on the 23rd. Temple Baptist Academy has also already played their next matchup, a 47-26 victory against Tennessee Christian Prep on the 24th.
