Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brody Pusateri and Eric Chen Lead Pittsford to Victory

Pittsford lost to Fairport back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Panthers skirted past the Red Raiders 24-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted against the Red Raiders since October 20, 2018.

Pittsford was led to victory by Eric Chen and Brody Pusateri. Chen rushed for 137 yards and one score, while Pusateri rushed for 16 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Chen is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 3-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pittsford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 207 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September.

Pittsford's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Ivan Ocasio with two sacks.

Pittsford now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Fairport, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Pittsford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 23-20 victory against McQuaid Jesuit on the 8th. Fairport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
