Volleyball Preview: Dillon Wildcats vs. Hanahan Hawks
After both having extra time off, the Dillon Wildcats and the Hanahan Hawks will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, Dillon beat Lake View 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
Meanwhile, Hanahan made easy work of Fort Dorchester on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won seven in a row.
While Hanahan won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-23.
Hanahan found their leader in sophomore Caitlyn Manus, who had six digs and two aces. Manus has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.
