Basketball Game Preview: Kenmare/Bowbells vs. Velva Aggies

Kenmare/Bowbells will take on the Velva Aggies at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, Kenmare/Bowbells came up short against Trinity Christian and fell 75-65. Kenmare/Bowbells has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Velva entered their tilt with Nedrose on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Cardinals 83-45. The Aggies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Velva pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.2 points. As for Kenmare/Bowbells, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Kenmare/Bowbells was able to grind out a solid victory over Velva in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 67-60. Does Kenmare/Bowbells have another victory up their sleeve, or will Velva turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
