Baseball Recap: Westbury Gets the Win

Westbury won the last time they faced Carnegie Vanguard and things went their way on Friday too. The Huskies walked away with a 7-3 win over the Rhinos. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Noah Johnson made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Johnson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kevin Orellana-Reyes was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Makkah Muhammad was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Westbury's record is now 18-5. As for Carnegie Vanguard, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Westbury wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-5 victory against Spring Woods on the 27th. Carnegie Vanguard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
