Basketball Recap: Orangeburg Prep Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Orangeburg Prep couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the Hilton Head Prep Dolphins 76-45 on Thursday.

When it comes to explaining why Orangeburg Prep lost, don't look at Avery Ravenell. Despite the final result, he posted 23 points. Another player making a difference was Tilden Riley, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 14 rebounds.

Ty Harpring continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hilton Head Prep, going 8-for-13 from beyond the arc on his way to 36 points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Harpring now owns an excellent 40.2% three-point shooting accuracy. Billy Barron was another key player, putting up 11 points and eight assists.

Orangeburg Prep's loss dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Hilton Head Prep, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 24-4.

As of now, neither Orangeburg Prep nor Hilton Head Prep have any future games scheduled.
