The Cle Elum-Roslyn Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Warden Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Cle Elum-Roslyn sitting on four straight victories and Warden on five.
Cle Elum-Roslyn is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past White Swan 28-2 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Trey Tolen-Chavez and Tyler Halverson made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Tolen-Chavez tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Halverson didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Tolen-Chavez also tossed no walks, which is notable because Cle Elum-Roslyn is 6-3 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-7 otherwise. At bat, Tolen-Chavez got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Halverson went 2-for-4 with four runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave Tolen-Chavez a new career-high.
In other batting news, Tristan Bogart was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Cle Elum-Roslyn is 5-1 when Bogart posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Austin Pulley, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
Cle Elum-Roslyn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Warden beat Columbia 5-1 on Thursday.
Warden pushed their record up to 10-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Cle Elum-Roslyn, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Cle Elum-Roslyn came up short against Warden when the teams last played back in April, falling 10-5. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
