Baseball Recap: Redlands East Valley Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Redlands East Valley proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cajon Cowboys, sneaking past 5-3. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won five matches in a row.

Caleb Jamroz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Griffin Cunningham was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aiden Mccartin, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and two RBI.

Redlands East Valley's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Cajon, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-4.

Redlands East Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cowboys: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
