Mataeo Jourdan and Preston Brunton secure win for Mountain Range

Recap: Mountain Range Mustangs vs. Northglenn Norsemen

The Mountain Range Mustangs had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They slipped by Northglenn 58-57 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Leading Mountain Range to victory were Mataeo Jourdan and Preston Brunton. Jourdan scored 20 points along with two steals, while Brunton scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Quincy Helsel was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Northglenn's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Hernandez, who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hernandez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Trevor Dean, who scored 13 points.

Mountain Range's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Northglenn, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Mountain Range didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 82-66 loss vs. Erie on the 10th. Northglenn has also already played their next game, a 54-48 win against Loveland on the 12th.
