Basketball Recap: Mckinley Falls Short of Berea-Midpark in the Playoffs

McKinley and Berea-Midpark squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but McKinley had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 52-38 to the Berea-Midpark Titans. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Despite the loss, McKinley still got an impressive performance from Mya Taylor, who posted 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Taylor's evening made it 16 games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was K'Lynn Carter, who had four points in addition to 11 boards and three steals.

McKinley's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Berea-Midpark, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

McKinley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Berea-Midpark, they will take on Jackson in a tournament on Saturday.
