Soccer Game Preview: Maconaquah vs. Western

Maconaquah hasn't had much luck against Western recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Braves will take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Maconaquah is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

Maconaquah is headed into the contest having not lost since September 17 and will look to keep things rolling. They and Kokomo finished up their match with a 1-1 draw on Thursday. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Maconaquah have been dealt a draw since back in August.

Their goal came courtesy of Molly Berryman, who's now up to 26 this season.

Meanwhile, Western fell victim to Oak Hill and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Golden Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for Western in their meetings with Oak Hill: they've now lost four in a row.

Maconaquah's draw gives them a new season record of 11-2-2. As for Western, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Maconaquah might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from Western when the teams last played back in October of 2020. Can the Braves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
