Basketball Game Preview: Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats vs. Wellpinit Redskins

The Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats will take on the Wellpinit Redskins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wilbur-Creston-Keller comes in on five and Wellpinit on ten.

Last Saturday, Wilbur-Creston-Keller strolled past Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame with points to spare, taking the game 51-33.

Wilbur-Creston-Keller got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brystal Neilsen out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Neilsen has scored at least a third of Wilbur-Creston-Keller's points. Kaidyn Maioho was another key player, putting up ten points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Wellpinit was able to grind out a solid win over Lakeside last Saturday, taking the game 55-42.

Wellpinit pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Wilbur-Creston-Keller, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
