Recap: Manchester Memorial Crusaders vs. Spaulding Red Raiders
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dover, the Manchester Memorial Crusaders were happy to have found some success on Friday. They strolled past Spaulding with points to spare, taking the game 51-33. That's another feather in the cap for Manchester Memorial, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for NyAsia McKelvey, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 12 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Torle Adumene, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Manchester Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Spaulding, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester Memorial will take on Keene at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Spaulding, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nashua North at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Nashua North has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
