Softball Recap: Bishop Amat's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After a string of four wins, Bishop Amat's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 8-3 to the Valley View Eagles. If the Lancers were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bryanna Mendoza was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Bianca Rojo, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Bishop Amat's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Valley View, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Coming up, Bishop Amat will challenge Saint Joseph at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Saint Joseph will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Bishop Amat surely won't give up without a fight. As for Valley View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shadow Hills at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
