Basketball Recap: Riley Minton and Taylor Greene Secure Win for Florence Christian

Florence Christian's game on Tuesday was all tied up 23-23 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the Carolina Academy Bobcats by a score of 53-46. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Bobcats last Tuesday, they had to take a 45-40 defeat.

Florence Christian was led to victory by Taylor Greene and Riley Minton. Greene went 6 of 12 en route to 18 points and six steals, while Minton posted 14 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Minton a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Parker, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 14 points.

Florence Christian moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Carolina Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Florence Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-69 victory against Orangeburg Prep on the 13th. As for Carolina Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 54-39 win against Lake View on the 13th.
