Basketball Game Recap: Bland County Bears vs. Galax Maroon Tide

Bland County lost against Galax on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bland County Bears might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 57-32 to the Galax Maroon Tide, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Maroon Tide are ranked 29th).

Bland County's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Galax, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Coming up, Bland County will head out on the road to challenge Grayson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Galax, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Giles at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Galax's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
