Northeast Jones entered their tilt with Forest on Tuesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Bearcats 17-0. Give the Tigers' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Nobody will forget Ryne Herrington's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Forest's batters): he turned in a perfect game. Herrington has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carter Wiginton was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Brayden Hayes was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

Northeast Jones always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forest only posted an OBP of .000.

Northeast Jones' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Forest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Northeast Jones will have a chance to go back-to-back against Forest: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
