Softball Recap: Ganado Hornets vs. Seton Catholic Sentinels
Ganado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Seton Catholic Sentinels, falling 13-6.
Mikayla Charley and Shayli Abeita-Walker stepped up to the plate in a big way. Charley scored a run while going 1-for-1, while Abeita-Walker scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That hit was Charley's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Lee, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Ganado's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Seton Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-1-2 record this season.
Ganado has already played their next game, a 12-1 defeat against Mohave Accelerated on the 12th. As for Seton Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-1 victory against Mayer on the 12th.
