Reed came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the McQueen Lancers as they made off with a 12-6 win. Considering Reed has won five contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Anna Maxwell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (she also only allowed one walk). Maxwell was even better at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Reed got a massive performance out of Tiare Kanae, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
On McQueen's side, Vanessa Bein made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, four RBI, and a double while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Fanene, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Reed pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs per game. As for McQueen, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
