Basketball Recap: The Habersham School Patriots vs. Bible Baptist Christian Wolves
After flying high against Veritas Academy last Thursday, The Habersham School came back down to earth. The Habersham School Patriots took a blow against the Bible Baptist Christian Wolves on Friday, falling 63-32. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-27 back in November.
Despite the loss, The Habersham School saw an underclassman step up: freshman Whitt Sullivan posted 14 points. Caleb Parker was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bible Baptist Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stephen Rahming, who had 13 points and three steals. Rahming is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaquayvion Gilmore, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
The Habersham School has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Bible Baptist Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
The Habersham School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 71-25 victory against Trinity Christian on the 10th. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Athens Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th. Bible Baptist Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.8 points per game this season.
