Volleyball Recap: Thomas Worthington Falls to Westerville South in First Game of Season

Thomas Worthington had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Westerville South Wildcats. The CARDINALS were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

While Thomas Worthington ultimately came up short, they really made Westerville South work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22, 25-16.

Annabelle Morse paced Thomas Worthington's offense, picking up seven kills. Morse got some help from Sydney Roberts and her nine assists. Morse was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Sasha ` Brownlee had a dynamite game For Westerville South., getting 18 digs and two aces.

Westerville South has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Thomas Worthington and Westerville South will both be playing New Albany the next time they take the court. The CARDINALS will head out to face the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
