Basketball Preview: Faith Academy Flames vs. Brazos Christian Eagles
Faith Academy is 3-0 against the Eagles since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Faith Academy Flames will head out on the road to take on the Brazos Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Faith Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 58-51 to Reicher Catholic.
Meanwhile, Brazos Christian pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Live Oak Classical. Brazos Christian's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Faith Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-9. As for Brazos Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.
Faith Academy strolled past the Eagles in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 74-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Faith Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
