Volleyball Recap: New Prairie Falls Despite Big Games from Josie Woodham and Olivia Rice

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact New Prairie can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Mishawaka Marian Knights on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 2nd.

Despite the defeat, New Prairie had strong showings from Olivia Rice, who had 16 digs and one assist, and Josie Woodham, who had 11 digs and five assists.

New Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Mishawaka Marian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 23-11 record this season.

New Prairie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mishawaka Marian, after both having extra time off, they and Hammond Bishop Noll will shake off the rust and duke it out at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
