Softball Recap: Rocky Mountain Takes a Loss

Capital hit Rocky Mountain with a four-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 8-7. The Grizzlies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Eagles earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Hadley Griggs made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Windau, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI.

Rocky Mountain's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-14. As for Capital, their win bumped their record up to 16-12.

As of now, neither Rocky Mountain nor the Golden Eagles have any future games scheduled.
