Baseball Recap: Kerman Comes Up Short

Kerman fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Centennial on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Centennial Golden Hawks by a score of 3-1. The loss was the Lions' first of the season.

Kerman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Steven Luna, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Luna is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Kerman fell to 4-1-1. As for Centennial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Kerman will take on Selma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kerman is facing Selma at the right time seeing as Selma is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Centennial, they will be playing at home against Ridgeview at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
