Soccer Recap: Airline Comes Up Short

Airline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 5-1 to the Loyola College Prep Flyers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 4-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Airline's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-3. As for Loyola College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2-3 record this season.

Airline will welcome Captain Shreve at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Captain Shreve will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Airline surely won't give up without a fight. As for Loyola College Prep, they will head out on the road to take on Byrd at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Byrd will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.
